The Olympic events, held amid the Israel-Hamas conflict and Russia’s war in Ukraine, saw France on its highest security alert, with additional preventive measures like increased house searches. The foiled plots primarily involved jihadist threats, reflecting a significant rise in jihadist-related legal proceedings in France this year.
