System of a Down Announces 2025 Stadium Shows

System of a Down has announced three major stadium shows for 2025, featuring Deftones, Avenged Sevenfold, and Korn as supporting acts. The concerts will take place on August 28 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ, August 31 at Soldier Field in Chicago, IL, and September 3 at Rogers Stadium in Toronto, ON. Opening for all three performances will be special guests Polyphia and Wisp. Ticket sales will begin with an artist presale on December 11, followed by general sales on December 13. The band, known for their significant influence in the rock scene and over 40 million records sold worldwide, has not released new music since their 2005 albums 'Mezmerize' and 'Hypnotize'. The announcement comes amidst discussions within the band about the possibility of future recordings, which remain uncertain.
