Security Forces Arrest 14 Terrorist Facilitators, Destroy Three Hideouts in Bannu Operation

Security forces and police in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Bannu district conducted a joint intelligence-based operation targeting terrorist facilitators amid a recent surge in militant attacks. The operation, carried out early morning in the Hoveed and Wazirabad areas, resulted in the arrest of 14 suspected facilitators linked to a banned militant organization, and the destruction of three terrorist hideouts. Authorities cleared five suspected militant sites along the Tochi River and seized three vehicles, including two motorcycles and a rickshaw. A curfew was imposed during the operation, which involved house-to-house searches and joint patrols to maintain security and prevent militants from escaping. Police and military officials emphasized their commitment to rooting out terrorism and urged the public to cooperate and report suspicious activity, warning of strict legal action against those aiding terrorists. The crackdown comes amid increased militant violence in Bannu and surrounding areas, with security forces aiming to restore lasting peace.
