Man Dies After Struggle With Security, Police Outside San Diego Bar

A man died in San Diego after being restrained by a security guard and police outside the Star Bar during a disturbance. The incident occurred around 8:15 p.m. Saturday when police responded to reports of a violent male. Upon arrival, officers found the man struggling on the ground, having allegedly bitten a security guard. He was quickly handcuffed and paramedics were called, but he was found unresponsive and without a pulse upon their arrival. Despite efforts to revive him, he was pronounced dead at a hospital. The San Diego County Sheriff's Office is leading the investigation into the incident, which will also be reviewed by the District Attorney's Office for any potential criminal liability.
