Mikkey Dee Hospitalized with Blood Infection

Mikkey Dee, drummer for Scorpions and former Motörhead member, recently battled a severe blood infection known as sepsis, which nearly cost him his life. He was hospitalized for three weeks at Sahlgrenska University Hospital after developing the infection following a foot injury in December. Dee expressed gratitude for the medical care he received and reassured fans that he is now recovering, with plans to return to the drums for Scorpions' Las Vegas residency starting February 27, 2025. The band is also celebrating its 60th anniversary with a concert in Hannover, Germany, on July 5, 2025, featuring special guests like Judas Priest. Dee emphasized his eagerness to return to performing and wished everyone a healthy 2025 filled with rock music.
