British Couple Found Dead in Majorca Floods

Sarah Jane Thompson, 26, and her boyfriend Alexander Barrett, 32, tragically lost their lives during a hiking trip in Majorca when they were swept away by sudden floods on September 3. Thompson's body was recovered the following day in the Torrent de Pareis region, while Barrett was last seen attempting to save her. His remains were later identified on September 6. Both were remembered fondly by their communities; Thompson was a former employee at The Good Rebel bar, and Barrett was an instructor at the Awesome Walls rock climbing gym in Stockport. Tributes highlighted their warm personalities, kindness, and the joy they brought to those around them. A memorial is being established in their honor by grieving friends and family in Stockport.
