Deftones Release Tenth Album Private Music With Global Listening Events

Deftones have released their tenth studio album, Private Music, marking 30 years since their debut and showcasing their continued evolution beyond nu metal into a richly textured alternative metal sound with shoegaze influences. The album is produced by Nick Raskulinecz, who previously worked with the band on notable albums, and features a dynamic balance between heavy riffs and melodic passages, highlighted by standout tracks like "My Mind Is A Mountain" and "Ecdysis." The band’s lineup includes new bassist Fred Sablan, contributing to the album's layered sound, while frontman Chino Moreno’s vocal versatility remains a defining feature. To celebrate the album's release, Deftones have partnered with Pitchblack Playback to host immersive listening parties in major cities worldwide, including Los Angeles, New York, London, and Canadian cities Vancouver and Toronto, offering fans a distraction-free environment to experience the new music. The album, recorded in locations including Malibu, Joshua Tree, and Nashville, will officially drop on August 22, following the listening events.
