At least 23 people were injured when a fire broke out on a Ferris wheel at the Highfield music festival near Leipzig, Germany, on Saturday night. The fire started in one gondola and quickly spread to another, with four individuals suffering burn injuries and one person injured from a fall. First responders, including four police officers, were also treated for smoke inhalation, with a total of 65 people receiving medical assistance at the scene. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and it was confirmed that no passengers were in the gondola where the fire originated at the time. The area has since been cordoned off as authorities continue their inquiries into the incident. Fortunately, none of the injuries are reported to be life-threatening.
