Rahmat Shah set a new Afghanistan Test record with an unbeaten 231 runs, leading a remarkable fightback against Zimbabwe on the third day of their first Test match. Together with captain Hashmatullah Shahidi, who scored 141 not out, they forged an unbroken 361-run partnership, bringing Afghanistan to 425/2 at stumps and trailing Zimbabwe's first-innings total of 586 by 161 runs.
