Massive Rallies Planned in Seoul After Yoon's Release

Seoul is preparing for large-scale rallies on Sunday following the surprise release of impeached President Yoon Suk Yeol from detention. Opponents of Yoon, including a coalition of 1,549 civic groups, have organized protests calling for his immediate removal, with activities starting at 11 a.m. and continuing throughout the day, expecting to draw approximately 100,000 participants. The ongoing political turmoil follows Yoon's detention on charges of insurrection, which a court ruled invalid just before his release.
