Multiple New Bus Services Launch Across UK and Ireland Enhancing Regional Connectivity

Several new and improved public transport services have recently launched across the UK and Ireland to enhance connectivity and accessibility. The Severn Valley Railway has partnered with Select Bus Services to promote travel to its heritage railway with discounts for bus passengers, encouraging visitors to use public transport. In Wales, the TrawsCymru T51 service, operated by Arriva, now offers hourly buses between Rhyl, Denbigh, Ruthin, and Wrexham, replacing the older service and introducing Sunday services to improve regional connectivity. Meanwhile, in Limerick County, the new LK63 Local Link bus service provides evening connections among several rural towns and villages, accepting both cash and free travel passes to support rural mobility. Additionally, a community transport service in Llandovery has been launched with a seven-seater vehicle aimed at providing accessible transport for medical and social needs, relying on volunteer drivers trained through the Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme. Collectively, these initiatives reflect ongoing efforts to improve public transport options, simplify fares, and encourage sustainable travel in both rural and urban areas.
