Elderly Uber Driver Killed in Philadelphia Shooting Targeting Passenger

A 77-year-old Uber driver, Olatunji W. Bolaji, was shot and killed during a targeted attack outside a Philadelphia hookah lounge while waiting to pick up a 22-year-old passenger. Surveillance footage shows two armed assailants exiting a Jeep Grand Cherokee with Massachusetts plates and opening fire on the passenger as he entered the vehicle, striking Bolaji in the head and the passenger in the arm, leg, and abdomen. Despite his injuries, Bolaji managed to drive away but crashed his car a block later and was pronounced dead at the scene, while the passenger remains hospitalized in critical condition.
