Coldplay has set a new attendance record at Melbourne's Marvel Stadium, attracting 227,000 fans over four shows during their 'Music of the Spheres' world tour. This achievement surpasses the previous record held by AC/DC, who drew 181,495 fans in 2010. Despite a mishap where frontman Chris Martin fell through a trapdoor during the final concert, he assured the audience he was uninjured and even joked about the incident. While Coldplay's record places them third overall in stadium history, they have made a significant impact on the venue's attendance stats. The band will continue their tour with upcoming shows in Sydney and will also perform in New Zealand, marking their first full Australian tour since 2016. Notably, their latest album, 'Moon Music', debuted at No. 2 on the ARIA Chart earlier this month.
