Small Plane Crashes Into Car, Hospitalizes Seven in Florida

A small single-engine plane crashed into a car in Lake Worth, Florida, shortly after takeoff from Lantana Airport, injuring seven people. The aircraft clipped some trees, skimmed the roof of a Honda Civic, and then crashed into a nearby park, sustaining severe damage to its nose while the car had minor roof damage. Two people were on board the plane, and five, including an adult and four children, were in the car; all were hospitalized with two individuals transported as trauma alerts. No fire or large fuel leaks were reported at the scene. The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the cause of the crash. Authorities have not yet released the conditions of the hospitalized individuals.
