Morocco Prepares for AFCON 2025 with 9 Stadiums

The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) will take place in Morocco from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026, featuring 24 teams divided into six groups. Reigning champions Ivory Coast will face Cameroon, Gabon, and Mozambique in Group F, while hosts Morocco will open against Comoros. Nigeria, runners-up in the previous tournament, are drawn in Group C with Tunisia, Uganda, and Tanzania. Matches will be held in nine stadiums across six Moroccan cities, including Rabat, Casablanca, and Tangier, with the final scheduled at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium. This event precedes Morocco's co-hosting of the 2030 World Cup with Spain and Portugal, with plans underway to construct a new stadium in Casablanca by 2027.
