Two Teachers Charged With Sexual Crimes Against Students

Vincent Weaver, a 29-year-old former fine arts teacher and dance team coach at George Washington Carver Academy in Highland Park, Michigan, has been arrested and charged with multiple counts of criminal sexual conduct and indecent exposure after allegedly grooming and sexually assaulting a student aged 10 to 12 on school grounds. Weaver was identified and arrested while in disguise at an off-site school event, with law enforcement closely cooperating with school security. The school suspended Weaver upon learning of the allegations, conducted an internal investigation, and subsequently terminated his employment, emphasizing student safety and support for affected families. Weaver is scheduled for arraignment, and a press conference has been announced. In a separate incident, Joelle M. Stark, a science teacher at McDonald County High School in Missouri, has been charged with statutory rape after a former student reported a two-year sexual relationship while he was a minor. Stark was placed on administrative leave after law enforcement notified the school district.
