Louisville Woman Charged with Assaulting UofL Nurse

A nurse at UofL Hospital in Louisville was assaulted by a patient, Mykeisha Johnson, who attacked the nurse during rounds, choking her, throwing her to the ground, and striking her. Video footage confirmed the nurse’s account, and two mental health technicians intervened until security arrived. Johnson admitted to the assault, stating she was angry about delays in her discharge and attacked the first available staff member. The nurse suffered multiple injuries, including pain and swelling in several areas. Johnson was arrested, charged with assault of a healthcare provider, wanton endangerment, and menacing, and is currently being held on a $10,000 cash bond, awaiting her court appearance.
