Four Israeli Soldiers Killed in Gaza Combat
Four Israeli soldiers were killed in north Gaza's Beit Hanoun during combat operations on Saturday, according to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). The soldiers have been identified as Sgt. Maj. Alexander Fedorenko, 37, Staff Sgt. Danila Diakov, 21, Sgt. Yahav Maayan, 19, and Sgt. Eliav Astuker, 19, all from various brigades. They were killed when an explosive device detonated near their convoy, which was reportedly traveling along a route supposed to be under full operational control. The incident also left two additional soldiers seriously injured. The IDF stated that Hamas is employing guerrilla tactics, utilizing small squads and explosives to target Israeli troops. This brings the total number of Israeli soldiers killed in Gaza since the ground offensive began on October 27, 2023, to 400.
