Sri Lanka Recalls Madushanka, Names 16-Man ODI Squad for Bangladesh Series

Sri Lanka has recalled left-arm fast bowler Dilshan Madushanka to their 16-member ODI squad for the upcoming series against Bangladesh starting July 2, replacing the injured Lahiru Kumara. Uncapped seamer Milan Rathnayake is included pending recovery from a side strain, while wicketkeeper-batter Sadeera Samarawickrama returns after being dropped for poor form, effectively replacing Nuwanidu Fernando. The pace attack will also feature Eshan Malinga, who impressed in IPL 2025, alongside Asitha Fernando, with the spin department led by Wanindu Hasaranga and Maheesh Theekshana, supported by Jeffrey Vandersay and Dunith Wellalage. The first two ODIs will take place in Colombo, followed by a third match and a subsequent three-match T20I series in Pallekele.
