Arsenal Wins 3-0 Over Nottingham Forest as Zubimendi Scores Twice
Arsenal midfielder Martin Zubimendi made a significant impact in his Premier League debut for the club by scoring two goals in their 3-0 win against Nottingham Forest. His first goal, a stunning volley from the edge of the box, drew widespread acclaim and comparisons to Zinedine Zidane's famous strikes, securing Arsenal a half-time lead. Arsenal dominated the match, with new signings Viktor Gyokeres and Eberechi Eze also contributing, including an early second-half goal assisted by Eze. Nottingham Forest, under new manager Ange Postecoglou in his debut game, struggled defensively, extending their run without a clean sheet to 12 league matches. Despite some attacking efforts, Forest were unable to penetrate Arsenal's solid defense, with Arsenal claiming their third clean sheet of the season and moving to the top of the Premier League standings. Both teams also faced injury setbacks during the match, including Arsenal's captain Martin Odegaard.
