NYPD Seeks Arson Suspect in Manhattan, Queens
New York City police are searching for a suspect involved in a series of arson attacks across Manhattan and Queens, including setting fires to a police vehicle, an empty car, and garbage near subway stations. The incidents occurred in the early hours of January 10, starting with a blaze set to an NYPD car near City Hall, followed by another vehicle fire nearby. The suspect also ignited a paper cup in a subway station and later set a pile of garbage on fire next to a sleeping passenger on a J train. Surveillance footage released by the NYPD shows the suspect, who wore a black puffer jacket and mask, fleeing the scenes after each fire. These incidents are being investigated by the NYPD's Arson and Explosion Unit, and no injuries have been reported so far. Authorities are asking the public for assistance in identifying the suspect through the Crime Stoppers hotline.
