Naked Carpenter Convicted of Attempted Murder

Robert Jenner, a 50-year-old man known as the 'Naked Carpenter', has been found guilty of attempted murder for stabbing police officer Pc Sean Quinn 23 times with scissors during an arrest attempt on June 15, 2023. The attack occurred in Jenner's flat in Maidstone, where he inflicted multiple serious injuries, including a gaping wound that exposed the officer's skull. Prosecutors argued that Jenner deliberately targeted the officer's exposed areas, while Jenner's defense claimed he acted in self-defense, believing the officers had unlawfully entered his home. The jury convicted Jenner by a 10 to 2 majority after deliberating for five hours. He is currently remanded in Belmarsh Prison and faces a life sentence, with sentencing scheduled for a later date. Pc Quinn, who has not returned to work, was present in court to hear the verdict alongside family members.
