Stonebridge Plans 245-Home Wynyard Park Expansion Stockton, Hartlepool

Stonebridge Homes, in collaboration with planning specialist Hedley Planning, has submitted proposals for 245 new family homes at Wynyard Park, Stockton-on-Tees, expanding the prestigious garden village. The development will feature three, four, and five-bedroom homes, including 122 with enhanced accessibility and 20 designed for wheelchair users, all equipped with solar panels and electric vehicle charging points to promote sustainability. The 15-hectare site will retain and enhance existing woodland, with additional landscaping aimed at ecological improvements and climate resilience. Secure cycle parking and sustainable access are also planned, with site access proposed from Bloomfield Drive. The project supports regional housing needs and is expected to be reviewed by Stockton Council's planning committee this summer, with construction potentially starting in 2026. Developers emphasize the development's role in boosting local housing supply, job creation, and community pride in line with government housing initiatives.
