Multiple College Volleyball Teams Fall in Competitive Early-Season Matches

Several collegiate women's volleyball matches took place recently, featuring tightly contested sets and notable individual performances. Chattanooga and Memphis battled in a four-set match with numerous ties and lead changes, where senior players reached career milestones, but Chattanooga narrowly won 3-1. Marshall University lost 3-1 to Virginia Tech in the Hokie Invitational despite a strong opening set and key contributions from multiple players. Farmingdale State's four-match winning streak ended with a straight-sets loss to Ramapo, with both teams experiencing multiple ties and lead changes in the first two sets. DeSales University fell to Franklin & Marshall in straight sets despite strong defensive efforts and balanced scoring. Lastly, WPI was defeated in straight sets by Tufts, with standout performances on both sides, including a match-high 14 digs from WPI's Harris and solid offensive contributions from Tufts players.
