Stark County Raid Seizes 2 Pounds Cocaine, Arrests Canton Man
Rashawn Emmanuel Phillips, a 30-year-old Canton man, was arrested following a major drug raid by the Stark County Sheriff's Office and partner agencies at a residence on Dorothy Avenue NE. Authorities seized over two pounds of cocaine, significant amounts of methamphetamine and fentanyl, nearly $5,000 in cash, multiple vehicles including a 2022 Dodge Challenger Scat Pak, and a handgun. Phillips faces multiple first-degree felony charges, including possession and trafficking of cocaine and aggravated drug possession. The raid was the result of an extensive investigation targeting drug trafficking in the area and involved collaboration between the Stark County Sheriff's Office, Medway Drug Enforcement Agency, Metro Narcotics Unit, and the Canton Police Department. Sheriff Eric Weisburn highlighted the operation as a success for public safety and encouraged the public to provide any additional information. The investigation remains ongoing.
