US Delegation Supports Bangladesh Reform Agenda

A high-level US delegation, led by Brent Nieman, visited Dhaka to discuss support for Bangladesh's interim government led by Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus. The discussions focused on rebuilding the country, implementing reforms, and recovering stolen assets. The US expressed eagerness to support Bangladesh's reform agenda, emphasizing inclusive economic growth, institution building, and development. During the visit, USAID signed a $200 million development agreement to advance development, strengthen governance, and expand trade. The US delegation praised Yunus's leadership and committed to providing both technical and financial support for the reform initiatives. This visit marks the first US delegation since the formation of the interim government on August 8.
