ITV Adapts Chris Chibnall’s Novel Death at The White Hart

ITV has commissioned a TV adaptation of Chris Chibnall's debut novel, 'Death at The White Hart,' which is set to publish in the UK on March 27 and in the US on June 10. The murder mystery unfolds in the Dorset village of Fleetcombe, where Detective Nicola Bridge investigates the murder of a pub landlord amidst a backdrop of lies and rivalries. Chibnall, known for creating 'Broadchurch,' will write the adaptation, which will be co-produced by Red Planet Pictures and Imaginary Friends Productions. The rights for the series were secured in a competitive bidding process, with Fremantle handling international distribution. Chibnall expressed confidence in ITV as the perfect home for the adaptation, highlighting its contemporary British story elements. The novel is the first of a two-book deal for Chibnall in both the UK and US, and has been sold for translation in multiple languages.
