San Marcos Multiple Shootings Leave 1 Dead, 2 Injured, Police Seek Suspects

Late Saturday night, Nov. 1, 2025, a shooting near Kissing Alley on the San Marcos Square left three people hospitalized and one person later pronounced dead, San Marcos Police Department (SMPD) said. SMPD is searching for two Black male suspects — one in a black hoodie with white lettering and the other in a two-tone black-and-gray jacket and beanie — who may have fled in a four-door silver or gray Audi A3, and officers asked all bars on the square to close following the incident. A second, apparently unrelated, shooting occurred around 1:25 a.m. Sunday in the 1600 block of Post Road, where one person was injured and taken to a hospital. KVUE reported that officers later chased down and arrested a suspected shooter after gunfire was heard as they were leaving Hopkins Street, though authorities have said the incidents do not appear connected.
