North Las Vegas community honors fallen Officer Jason Roscow with vigil

The North Las Vegas community is mourning the loss of Officer Jason Roscow, who was fatally shot on Tuesday while responding to a call. A candlelight vigil was held at Liberty Park to honor Roscow's 17 years of dedicated service to the North Las Vegas Police Department and to support his family, including his two young sons. Roscow served in various capacities, including patrol operations and the traffic division, and was recognized for his exemplary service. The tragic incident occurred during a confrontation with a gunman, who was also killed. Community members have been leaving tributes at a growing memorial, reflecting on Roscow's positive impact and the void his passing has created. His funeral will take place at Central Christian Church and he will be laid to rest in his hometown of Prairie du Rocher, Illinois.
