Contractor Electrocuted While Installing Holiday Lights

In Wellesley, Massachusetts, a contractor suffered a life-threatening electric shock while hanging holiday lights on a tree using a pole, which accidentally touched a primary electrical line. The incident occurred on Falmouth Circle around 10 a.m., leading to the man falling unconscious, not breathing, and appearing to have a seizure. Emergency responders, including police and firefighters, arrived promptly, providing CPR and using a defibrillator to restart his heart. The victim was initially taken to Newton Wellesley Hospital and later transferred to Massachusetts General Hospital for further treatment. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is investigating the incident alongside local police and the Wellesley Municipal Light Plant, which has confirmed no ongoing public danger. The Wellesley Police, Fire, and WMLP Departments have extended their thoughts and prayers to the victim and his family.
