Firefighters are currently responding to two separate incidents in Belfast. In west Belfast, a small fire involving tyres was reported near the Monagh Bypass, with one fire appliance on scene. Meanwhile, a larger fire at the derelict Forster Green Hospital on Saintfield Road has drawn a substantial fire response, initially involving around 40 firefighters. This fire, which is believed to have been started deliberately, has been scaled back but still requires two fire appliances and an aerial appliance to remain on site. The hospital site spans 47 acres and has been closed since 2012. Fire services continue to manage operations at both locations.
