Elk Grove Police Shoot Armed Man Outside In-N-Out

A police-involved shooting occurred late Friday night at an In-N-Out restaurant in Elk Grove, California, when officers responded to reports of a man brandishing a firearm and acting erratically. The incident unfolded shortly before 11:30 p.m., as police attempted to detain the suspect, a 50-year-old man, who fled towards the parking lot while still holding a loaded gun. An officer shot the man during the confrontation, and he was subsequently transported to a hospital where he is expected to survive. Fortunately, no officers or bystanders were injured in the incident, and a firearm was recovered from the scene. The Elk Grove Police Department is conducting an internal review of the shooting, and the officer involved has been placed on administrative leave.
