Man arrested for arson after Cambridge, Nottingham fires
A man has been arrested on suspicion of arson following a deliberately set caravan fire in Cambridge on Howard Road. The blaze occurred around 9:15 PM on March 18 and was extinguished by 11:00 PM, with the suspect currently in the hospital. Cambridgeshire Police have launched an investigation, urging anyone with information to come forward. In a separate incident in Nottingham, another man was arrested on suspicion of arson after a fire in a flat led to several residents being evacuated and three officers suffering from smoke inhalation while attempting a rescue. This fire also took place on March 18 around 1:15 AM, and investigations are ongoing in that case as well. Both incidents highlight ongoing concerns regarding public safety and arson-related crimes.
