Five Injured in Breckinridge County Buggy Crash
A tragic incident occurred in Breckinridge County, Kentucky, when a 2004 Ford Taurus rear-ended a horse-drawn Amish buggy, resulting in multiple injuries. The crash happened around 3:15 p.m. near the 14000 block of South KY 259. The buggy, operated by 33-year-old Elise Girod with three juveniles aboard, was struck by 55-year-old Brenda Aubrey's car. All occupants of the buggy were airlifted to the University of Louisville Hospital, where two of the juveniles have been released, but Girod and one juvenile remain hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. Aubrey sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital. The Kentucky State Police are currently investigating the incident, with no charges reported at this time.
