Connecticut man faces multiple charges after road rage incidents on I-84

Robert Misericordia, a 27-year-old from Hartford, Connecticut, was arrested following a series of road rage incidents on Interstate 84. After several drivers reported aggressive encounters, including one where Misericordia allegedly brandished a machete and kicked vehicles, police located his car in Prospect. In an attempt to evade arrest, he struck a police cruiser but later abandoned his vehicle and turned himself in. Misericordia faces numerous charges, including reckless driving, criminal mischief, and first-degree threatening, and is being held on a $150,000 bond. The incidents prompted heightened security measures in Southington, including placing schools in secure mode. He is scheduled to appear in court on February 13.
