Greece Wins First Gold at Paris Paralympics

At the 2024 Paralympics in Paris, the Italian team celebrated a successful day with ten medals, highlighted by Martin Pini's bronze in the H3 individual time trial and Bebe Vio Grandi's bronze in individual foil fencing. Pini, a first-time Paralympian, completed the race in 46:13.69, dedicating his medal to his supporters and coach. Meanwhile, the Greek delegation shone in the F32 shot put event, with Athanasios Konstantinidis earning gold and setting a new European record with a throw of 11.93 meters, while Lazaros Stefanidis secured bronze with a throw of 9.84 meters. This marked Greece's first gold medal of the Games, contributing to their growing tally of nine medals. Dimitris Zisidis, the third Greek finalist, finished sixth with a throw of 8.88 meters.
