Delta Partners with Uber, Ends Lyft Collaboration
Delta Air Lines has ended its partnership with Lyft and established a new exclusive partnership with Uber to allow SkyMiles members to earn miles through Uber rides and Uber Eats orders. Starting in the spring, members will earn one mile per dollar on UberX airport rides and $40+ Uber Eats orders, two miles for premium rides, and three miles for Uber Reserve trips. This partnership was announced at the CES 2025, emphasizing improved customer experience at Delta hubs. Delta CEO Ed Bastian highlighted the initiative as part of Delta's centennial celebration and its commitment to creating connected travel experiences. Uber's CEO Dara Khosrowshahi noted the importance of airport rides, which constitute a significant portion of Uber's bookings. This partnership marks the end of Delta's seven-year collaboration with Lyft, allowing customers to earn miles only until April 7, 2025.
