Marriott to Open Second EDITION Hotel in Shanghai

Marriott International has announced plans to open its second EDITION Hotel in Shanghai's Putuo District, set to debut in 2026. The Shanghai EDITION at Changfeng Park will feature 278 luxury guest rooms and suites, designed by the acclaimed firm SCDA, offering stunning views of Suzhou Creek and Changfeng Park. Bart Buiring, Marriott's Managing Director of Luxury for Greater China, emphasized that the hotel aims to redefine urban luxury through its sophisticated design and exceptional service. The hotel will include three dining venues, two bars, a swimming pool, a gym, and meeting spaces, catering to both leisure and business travelers. This addition reinforces Marriott's commitment to expanding its luxury portfolio in Greater China, where it currently operates over 70 properties. The strategic location near both urban and green spaces is expected to attract discerning travelers seeking unique experiences.
