Justin Allgaier clinched his second NASCAR Xfinity Series victory of the year and 25th overall by winning the Cabo Wabo 250 at Michigan International Speedway in an overtime finish. Utilizing strategic pit stops and superior driving, Allgaier took the lead with 16 laps remaining and held off competitors amid a chaotic final lap that saw Carson Kvapil crash and Kyle Sieg's car flip end-over-end. Sieg was able to exit his car unharmed. Sheldon Creed finished second for a record 11th time, and John Hunter Nemechek took third.
