Thomas Wins Women's 200m at U.S. Trials

Gabby Thomas clinched victory in the women's 200 meters at the U.S. Olympic Track and Field trials with a time of 21.81 seconds, qualifying for her second Olympics alongside Brittany Brown and McKenzie Long. Sha'Carri Richardson, despite being a favorite and the reigning 100-meter world champion, finished fourth and did not qualify for the 200 meters. Richardson will compete in the 100 meters and the women's 4x100 relay in Paris. In Jamaica, Kishane Thompson won the men's 100 meters with a world-leading time of 9.77 seconds, positioning himself as a major contender for the Olympic gold. Shericka Jackson secured the women's 100 meters title, with Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce also qualifying for her fifth Olympics. Jackson is expected to be a strong competitor in both the 100 and 200 meters at the Paris Olympics.
