Tyrese Gibson Booked in Fulton County Over Dog Killing

Actor and singer Tyrese Gibson was booked in Fulton County, Ga., on a misdemeanor charge of cruelty to animals after one of his four Cane Corso dogs allegedly killed a neighbor’s five-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Henry, on Sept. 18 in the Buckhead neighborhood. Authorities say the dogs had been reported running loose multiple times, were captured on camera approaching the small dog’s home, and an arrest warrant was issued before Gibson turned himself in and posted a $20,000 bond. Police and animal control reported prior incidents involving the dogs, including blocking a neighbor’s vehicle, and court documents describe the victim dog’s severe injuries, including broken ribs and internal bleeding. Fulton County officials sought the surrender of Gibson’s dogs; his attorney says he is cooperating, Gibson expressed condolences to the dog’s family, and the dogs were subsequently rehomed. The investigation by police and animal control is ongoing.
