UK Backs Canada in India Diplomatic Dispute

The United Kingdom, along with other 'Five Eyes' alliance members, has expressed support for Canada's accusations against India regarding alleged involvement in criminal activities on Canadian soil. Britain emphasized the importance of India's cooperation with Canada's legal process as the appropriate course of action. Diplomatic tensions escalated after Canada expelled six Indian diplomats, linking them to the murder of Sikh separatist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, and India reciprocated by expelling Canadian diplomats. India's Ministry of External Affairs firmly rejected the allegations as unfounded and politically motivated, accusing the Canadian government of engaging in vote-bank politics. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau stated that credible allegations have been pursued by Canadian intelligence, urging India to assist in the investigation to uphold the rule of law. The US and other 'Five Eyes' allies have also supported Canada's stance, urging India to cooperate.
