Clarkson Hosts Millionaire Spin-Off, New Episodes

ITV has confirmed Jeremy Clarkson will host a new Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? spin-off, Millionaire Hot Seat, with filming beginning in November 2025 for a UK premiere in 2026. In the spin-off, six contestants compete, but only the person in the Hot Seat may answer questions to ascend the Million Pound Money Ladder. Incorrect answers eliminate contestants and reduce the top prize, while passing sends players to the back of the queue, risking their opportunity to play again. Only the remaining top prize on the ladder is available to win, and the contestant must answer the final question correctly to claim it. ITV has also ordered 19 new episodes of the classic Millionaire format, including seven celebrity specials, as the brand remains popular with 18 million viewers this year. ITV credits Clarkson's appeal and the format's international success for the franchise's expansion.
