The Conjuring: Last Rites Set for September 2025 Release
The Conjuring: Last Rites, scheduled for theatrical release on September 5, 2025, will be the fourth and final installment in the main Conjuring series, marking the end of Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga’s run as Ed and Lorraine Warren. Directed by Michael Chaves, the film is set in 1986, five years after The Devil Made Me Do It, and sees the Warrens pulled out of retirement for one last case centered on the infamous Smurl family haunting. The filmmakers chose to focus on a more personal and emotional story rather than an epic crossover of the franchise’s monsters. Wilson and Farmiga reflected on their 12-year partnership in the franchise, expressing gratitude for their time together and the impact of their on-screen chemistry. The film will also feature cameos from the real-life Warrens' daughter and son-in-law, and a supporting cast that includes Rebecca Calder and others. While Last Rites ends this chapter, the wider Conjuring universe is expected to continue beyond this installment.
