French Holocaust Denier Vincent Reynouard Jailed 12 Months

Vincent Reynouard, a 56-year-old Holocaust denier, has been sentenced to 12 months in prison after being extradited from Scotland to France. He was arrested in November 2022 in Anstruther, Fife, where he had been living under the radar for two years, evading charges related to seven videos in which he denied the existence of gas chambers and trivialized Nazi atrocities. Reynouard has a history of similar convictions dating back to 1991, and Holocaust denial has been illegal in France since 1990. Following a hearing, he was found guilty of multiple charges, including inciting racial hatred, and ordered to pay €10,000 in damages to anti-racism organizations. The French public prosecutor initially sought a longer sentence and higher fines. Reynouard's case sparked international attention due to his evasion of justice and the serious nature of his crimes.
