Apple TV+ is promoting the upcoming second season of its hit series 'Severance' by streaming the entire first season for free on the Roku Channel until January 19, 2025. This initiative coincides with the season 2 premiere on January 17, and aims to attract new subscribers by offering a three-month free trial of Apple TV+. The partnership with Roku, which serves around 90 million users, allows Apple to reach a broader audience outside its ecosystem, further enhancing subscriber engagement. The Roku Channel will also feature a preview of season 2 and behind-the-scenes content. This marketing strategy follows Apple's previous move of making its entire service free for a weekend earlier this month. Roku's VP of growth marketing, Sweta Patel, has emphasized the excitement of creating a unique fan experience through this collaboration.
