Ellers Farm Distillery acquires 6 O’Clock Gin brand UK

Ellers Farm Distillery, co-owned by comedian Ricky Gervais, has acquired Bramley & Gage, the owner of the premium 6 O’Clock Gin brand, marking its first acquisition as part of a long-term growth strategy. The acquisition will integrate 6 O’Clock Gin into Ellers Farm’s portfolio alongside Dutch Barn Vodka and Y-Gin, with plans to expand its distribution internationally, including the UK, continental Europe, and parts of the US. CEO Chris Fraser emphasized that 6 O’Clock Gin complements their existing brands by offering an elegant, established presence recognized globally, aligning with the distillery’s values centered on craft, character, and connection. Gervais expressed enthusiasm for expanding the reach of British spirits worldwide and highlighted the growing portfolio that now includes an upcoming single malt whisky. The deal also brings 17 full-time employees from Bramley & Gage to Ellers Farm, supporting the company's ambition to elevate 6 O’Clock Gin's presence in the competitive gin market. Ellers Farm, founded in 2020 and backed by Gervais since 2023, is poised to strengthen its position in the premium spirits sector with this strategic acquisition.
