PopUp Bagels plans 35 locations in Southern California
PopUp Bagels, a rapidly growing East Coast bagel chain, is set to expand into Southern California by opening 35 locations over the next few years. The company has partnered with James Marzouk of Sweetzer Capital for 25 locations in Los Angeles and Orange County, and with Paul Goodman and Griffin Thall, known as The Bagel Boyz, for 10 locations in San Diego. Founded in 2020, PopUp is recognized for its unique 'Grip, Rip, and Dip' serving style that offers innovative spreads with bagels. The brand aims to select high-traffic urban and suburban spaces to create a welcoming atmosphere for both locals and visitors. CEO Tory Bartlett expressed enthusiasm about establishing roots in California, while Marzouk highlighted the cultural significance of introducing their concept to a vibrant market. PopUp currently operates multiple locations across New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts.
