Brian Eno Announces Large-Scale Palestine Benefit Concert at Wembley

Brian Eno is organizing a benefit concert titled "Together for Palestine" at London's OVO Arena Wembley on September 17th to raise funds for humanitarian aid in Gaza through the charity Choose Love. The event features a diverse lineup spanning generations and musical styles, including Damon Albarn, Jamie xx, James Blake, Sampha, Hot Chip, Bastille, Paloma Faith, and Palestinian musicians Adnan Joubran, Faraj Suleiman, and Nai Barghouti, with special appearances by Riz Ahmed, Rina Sawayama, and PinkPantheress. Eno emphasized that silence in the face of Gaza's crisis equates to complicity, highlighting the role of artists in confronting injustice and fostering shared humanity. Damon Albarn, reflecting on the situation, described pacifism and peace as active commitments and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to support Palestinian people and celebrate their culture through music. The concert also aims to create an immersive artistic experience, with scenography designed by Es Devlin and Palestinian artist Malak Mattar to showcase Palestinian culture beyond entertainment. All ticket proceeds, minus fees, will be donated to aid organizations providing essential supplies in Gaza.
