Jeopardy!, Wheel of Fortune Secure Streaming Deals with Hulu, Peacock

Sony Pictures Television has announced a landmark multi-year licensing deal to stream both Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune on Hulu, Hulu on Disney+, and Peacock starting this fall, marking the first time current seasons of these iconic game shows will be available on major streaming platforms. Fans will be able to watch new episodes the day after they air on local TV, as well as access a library of older episodes, expanding streaming access significantly. This move coincides with subtle set changes on Jeopardy!, noticed by fans, possibly reflecting the new streaming arrangements. The deal comes amid an ongoing legal dispute between Sony and CBS Media Ventures over syndication rights, but Sony remains optimistic about providing broader access to these shows. Notably, Canadian viewers are currently excluded from the streaming options, and Amazon Prime is not part of the agreement. Additionally, Season 3 of Jeopardy! Masters is underway, with Victoria Groce and Yogesh Raut advancing to the finals, competing for the $500,000 grand prize.
